Topamax – Babies of mothers who took this anti-seizure drug during pregnancy have developed congenital birth defects, including oral defects such as cleft lip and cleft palate.
Transvaginal mesh – Transvaginal mesh implant is a common procedure for women and it has been associated with transvaginal mesh erosion and organ damage from the device eroding inside the body.
Wellbutrin – This SNRI antidepressant, when taking by a pregnant woman, can cause the baby to born with serious birth defects, including left outflow heart defect.
Yaz – Pulmonary embolism, a condition where a blood clot forms in a vein, has been linked to this drug meant to prevent ovulation in women.
Zoloft – This drug is used to treat depression, anxiety and other disorders. However, when a baby is exposed to the drug in the womb, it can cause heart defects, ventricular septal defects and atrial septal defects.
